April was a very busy month!

We really had a lot going on last month - not the least of which was a trip to Colorado to attend the memorial of a good friend. And during the last few days of the month we were hit with a very nasty storm that lasted for days, and wreaked havoc in SW Missouri, flooding a good part of our area. As a result, I took more pictures than I would normally take in a month - other than when we're on a big road trip. The firsts few images are from our Colorado trip, followed by several images taken of the flooding.

So many spectacular vistas in Estes Park

The hotel in the distance is The Stanley Hotel - best known for its inspirational role in "The Shining"

While in Colorado, we stayed at a lovely horse ranch.

The James River in Galena - our county seat

The James River at the "Y" bridge in Galena - almost completely submerged..

The Kimberling City Bridge was closed for a few days due to the water reaching the bottom of the bridge.

Between the storms.....a small community park nearly
